He studied at Mwatate Primary, Mwatate Junior Academy and Kipusi Primary before joining Maranda High School through a partial Jomo Kenyatta Foundation scholarship and local bursary support. He later earned an LL.B at Kenyatta University and completed postgraduate studies at the Kenya School of Law.

Through Taifa Teule, Shiriki and Team Safi, he volunteered in community projects, facilitated leadership classes and championed an integrity revolution. At Mzalendo Trust, he worked at the intersection of law, Parliament and citizen accountability — analysing legislation, drafting memoranda and contributing citizens' perspectives before parliamentary committees.

Admitted to the Bar in March 2026, Mwamburi registered a law firm with the intention of establishing offices in Mwatate and bringing practical legal solutions closer to the community.
